Traditional playlist without exoskeleton coming to Advanced Warfare

In that interview, Michael Condrey mentions (a little after the 1:15 mark) that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will feature a traditional playlist. In that traditional playlist, you'll have modes that do not feature the exoskeleton & play more like the previous Call of Duty titles you've known in the past (movement wise).

You'll be able to play Team Deathmatch, Domination, CTF & likely a few other modes without the exoskeleton's dodge & double-jump mechanics. When the game launches, they'll be featured as a separate playlist for those players who are wanting the "traditional" feel.

Seems like a smart move for Sledgehammer, honestly. If fans want the game but don't like the exoskeleton, this allows them to still feel the urge to buy it & enjoy it "their" way.

This definitely sounds interesting and I like that they're supporting and listening to the community. However, how is a tradtitional playlist going to play when the new maps are designed with the EXO abilities in mind.

I'm really excited about Advanced Warfare! All of the new stuff has me excited, but it feels great to know that I'll (eventually at least) be able to play traditional COD. :)

This reminds me of no titans, no AI TDM in Titanfall, what is the point of putting in a game changing mechanic on maps designed for said game mechanic and then offer the option to not have said mechanic. It sorta defeats the purpose of the new game. :)

I would agree with this statement if we were talking about Titanfall but because CoD is an established franchise with an extensive background history they're adding in this mode to help accommodate existing players that might be a little hesitant about all this new stuff.

I think you may've missed the point.

Well you basically said that you don't see the point in them putting new movement mechanices into the game to then have a mode that doesn't allow those new mechanics, correct?

I then said that because of CoD being an established franchise they're offering the classic mode for those who're hesitant about all the new movement mechanics.

I don't see what the issue is with what I said.

This. All of this. Spot on @Derri

Ok, the point wasn't about Titanfall, the point was that this new CoD is designed around a mechanic, the exo suit, so if you take that away the play experience is not optimal because the maps are designed for the mechanic. But hey I hear what you say and think that you have made a good point. I had no 'issue' with what you said per say. I am sorry if you thought that I was being unnecessarily critical :)
