Are camping and hanging back the same thing?

In that room where @freakdaddy64 held back while his team mates were being hit by rocket fire, hanging back helped him surprise the enemy as they pushed forward. Too bad he was overwhelmed by the 2 that came through, but it was a good plan IMHO and he did take out 1 guy and hurt the other.

If you know someone is coming, taking a defensive position is not camping, again, just my opinion.

Camping, as I understand it, is finding a corner of the map and waiting for people to wander in to it. Campers tend to find a spot and stock close to it, much like a spider stays close to its web, they wait for a fly to get caught up in the trap.

Hence why I actually wrote sitting in a corner waiting, or aiming down an alley to wait and hope ppl coming!
Defensive play is by all mean not an issue, and using it as a teamwork to advance is fine. I call it camping when they stay, watching that doorway until they get shot .. no matter where on the map the fights are actually happening. Then spawn back in .. run to the same doorway/alley/corner....

Great when yer the one camping...

Not so much when yer the one being tactically ambushed...

With some people camping is an artform, with others like GGReloaded (on YouTube) it's more of a method of trolling people.
