will a hard drive be required to play on xbox 360?

I have a 4gb Xbox 360 with a USB flash drive, and this setup plays the disc version of cod ghosts just fine. I recently bought and had to return titanfall because it said an Xbox hard drive was required. I guess the 4gb doesn't count. Dies anyone know if my setup will play advanced warfare or do I need an upgrade? I can't find an answer online and the guys at my local gamestop don't know.

If you only have a 4GB system, I would recommend having a hard drive for it. I haven't seen an official confirmation, but I'd be really surprised if it didn't require a hard drive (especially with tons of DLC & patches coming).

okay, I called 5 gamestop stores today, and one had the carton open, the other store opened one up for me to look at the game case. They both said the game case says "storage required- 4gb to install.". That is the same way the ghosts case reads, and it plays off USB flash drive. Titanfall and destiny both specifically say "hard drive required.". I still cannot find any official news from Activision, so I'm just taking the wording on the game case as good news since I can't afford an upgrade right now. Hopefully I can post some good news tomorrow night for anyone else that has been wondering.

got a look at the game myself two hours ago and talked to the manager of gamestop- USB storage will be supported, hell yeah!!! I will be installing it and hopefully be playing it by 1 a.m.

Played both campaign and multiplayer with the disc 2 installed in the flash drive. It takes 3.8 GB to install the disc content, and then there is your saved game and the first title update which puts it right around 4 GB. Great news for those of us with older xbox's.
