Will there be 3D support?

I've searched and searched but can't find any info on this? It seems to alternate every other release has 3D support. Black Ops & Black Ops II had it, so following that pattern, Advanced Warfare would have it. Is there any info out there on this?

Only speculation currently. The 3d tv market sold well at first, but has fallen short recently. This is the reason behind the lack of an option for 3d. Not that every other cod would do it, or that Treyarch was the only ones incorporating it in their games. Ghosts didn't have it because there weren't enough people out there with 3D tv's playing it. It's an option that requires 2 different markets to be doing well and when one falls short as 3d tv does. They removed the option because it eliminates a lot of issues that could and will pop up during and after developement on the game itself, and that there aren't many people with 3d tv's playing their games so not many people will complain.

In short: There most likely will not be 3D for Advanced Warfare. And by most likely I would say I'm 99% sure it won't be there. 3D tv just isn't big enough for them to have to add the option and do all the extra work behind that. I hope they do have it though, so people that have 3d tv's can play it and enjoy it in 3d...

Thanks for your reply. I too hope 3D support continues, but I have little confidence that it will. Luckily a few years ago I got a killer deal on a new Sony TV as a result of an issue with my previous Sony SXRD TV. I opted for a 3D set since the price was so low, but rarely use it anyway.

It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to be able to play video games online and in perfect 3D. One of those has happened. I hope that 3D will be improved and brought back to become a new stable in displays. It's apparently not a big priority, smart displays are getting all the attention right now. :(

1. Sony supports 3D technologies. PS4 has Blu-Ray 3D support. And, likewise, you've bought a 3D TV.
2. Treyarch is the only [Activision] company that likes 3D tech. CODForums even has a few 3D vids for BO2. One example is here.
3. As much as there are a lot of 3D films out there, the adoption rate for 3D films is kind-of low.

I like 3D, don't get me wrong, but there just isn't a market for it yet. Not now. I don't think Advanced Warfare will support it, unless Sledgehammer Games wants it, and Activision is willing to support them on it. Thing is, the devs has been saying that there are a few story elements that hasn't been done in a film or a video game. This tells me that the "filmmaking" production values in Advanced Warfare will support 3D somewhat, somewhere.

I think they're trying to keep it hush, hush.

In fact, some of the scenes in Advanced Warfare cinematic trailers in recent times show that there are some uses for 3D glasses, like falling off the bridge, or a cliffside (the one with the trucks).
