There are perks that make it immune to bouncing Betty. However, even without the perk, you can make it so you don't die from it. Laying prone is one way, running past it is another, but there are times hit detection doesn't work, so don't rely on it too much.

I thought at first as well. But I follow the red square and it leads me to a fully functioning enemy...
As I said, it doesn't happen often and I am not doing anything special to bring it on.. At least not that I can think of..
But if it IS a perk, I would definitely like to know how to use it at will..

Yes, and yes. There's also a list of players you met... You can click their profile and it brings up a dialog box, which includes a selection for reporting.

I heard someone say during the game play that it's caused by a team player who uses a certain function on his (or her) weapon sight that feeds this info to all the other players..
When I followed the tag on the left as it moved, it came into the open as an enemy and I was able to get the kill..

We've had those on consoles (I'm PS4), too. I dunno how they do it, but it's a hack. I'm not going to be one of those idiots who risk their accounts just for colors. Most likely, they're cheaters. That's why I never take them serious.
Yes, we knew that. I'm guessing that's what you were talking about earlier with the red symbol icon you attached. But yeah. that's a field upgrade. However, the green icon, and the other ones you saw, are probably hacks.
Would be nice if Infinity Ward fixed most of the issues. Some issues are still there even after the Season Two update... Oh well.Well, I found out some good news..
I am a shareholder with Activision and I talked to my rep today..
Activision plans to ban all accounts with the Color Hack, as it "breaks the game"...
She wasn't sure how long it would take but it's going to be sooner rather than later...
