I have to compliment Battlenet for the latest WarZone update..

Before, when I switched from BOCW to WZ or vicie versie, I would have to completely exit one game and then activate the other game thru Battlenet.. Trying to go from WZ to BOCW the other way would result in a connection error..

Now, it's very smooth.. I can exit from one Menu and go straight into the other menu with nary a hiccup..

Good job, Battlenet.. :D

There have been a few occassions when I found that for 1 reason of another I accidentally launched in Warzone/MW when I wanted to play BOCW, but I have never had an issue switching between the games, I simply picked the game I wanted and it would shut down the game I launched in and startup the game I wanted.

It has always been pretty smooth and very easy to do, it is as simple as picking from a menu and other than loading times, it's always been seamless.

It's likely more of a latency/bandwidth issue.. I am out in the boonies and barely get 8KB/s on a good day. But the update seems to make it better..

OK.. I have always wondered who gets the credit (and blame) for which aspect of the COD-verse....

Game mechanics is??

Blizzard is the game server??

Activision is ???

I have always wondered the hierarchy....

Blizzard = Battlenet, MMO's like World of Warcraft, Warcraft, Diablo, etc.

Activision = Everything else. CoD, Crash Bandicoot, etc.

Though, the reason Activision merged with Blizzard was for more resources like server infrastructure.

I think it would be more fair to say that Blizzard is company that acts as both a publisher and distribution platform, the platform they use for distribution is Battlenet which is also a launcher and that also deals with things like security issues, such as copyright protection.

Activision is also a publisher, they don't really deal with distribution and so they have partnered with Blizzard so that they can use the Battlenet platform to use a launcher, shop front for selling CoD Points and other add ons etc...

Treyarch and Infinity Ward are developers, Activision bought the studios so now they both develop for Activision taking turns to either work on an upcoming release or supporting the current version of the game.
