At the part when the zsf soldier says this place is a fortress- impenetrable, if I die more than 2 times when I respawn my screen flashes and the right stick on my controller stops working and when I pull the triggers the screen turns a bunch of different colors. It stays this way until I quit the game from the Xbox one menu. I'm playing on veteran difficulty and don't want to change the difficulty to get past this part.
