Care Package Theft

Recruit
OK, so this is on ongoing issue with me and no doubt with most of you as well. I call in a Care package and some 2nd grader goes and steals it. Is there a way to keep these undesirables away from what you have earned??

Yeah I agree with Carlos. If you die and spawn far away, then it's actually better that one of your teammates pick it up to prevent the enemies from getting to it first.

If you didn't die then I don't even understand how they had enough time to steal it (the player who called it in can pick it up in a fraction of the time any other player on the map can)

I have yet to play a game where there is an actual "Team Play". At best it organized chickens running around with their heads cut off. This doesn't happen when I die. I'm standing there waiting for my drop and I have one or two other teammates hanging around waiting for the drop so they can try to get their hands on it. Like I stated above, you have a bunch of 2nd graders (Or the mentality of) playing this game. Not everyone mind you, but just enough to ruin the game for other players.

I still don't get how they are "capturing" it before you, if you're right there?

It's the mechanics of the game. If you get to an object that requires you to input action, the game will take the first execution. Meaning whoever has the faster connection gains the reward.

But they have to hold down the button for atleast 4 times as long time as you to capture it, if you're the one who called it in.

Unless you have insane, then I just don't understand how they are getting it before you. It'll take atleast a couple of seconds to capture someone elses care package, but I doubt that you're at 2000, 1000ms latency or anywhere near it.

I try to drop care packages away from the action, that gives me a chance to collect them before getting killed, that is unless I'm playing on Shipment, good luck trying to find a quiet corner there. lol

The other thing I do is wait until I have a cruise missile to launch as well, then I'll call in my care package and then fire the cruise missile, by the time the middle had landed my care package is ready and the game mechanic seems to keep me alive for the duration.
