Ghosts/AW Sequels As DLC?

It is clear by now that we will never receive main games to fulfill on the sequel-baited endings of both Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. However, maybe we can still end up having the storylines resolved in a new way. Back in 2013, Ubisoft did Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, a DLC/standalone title used as a spinoff for Far Cry 3. The result was a humorous take off of cheesy '80s sci-fi/action movies, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Simply put, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer could take this approach and release Ghosts and AW sequels as DLC content for Infinite Warfare and WWII.

Just think about it. Those of us who have been wanting a resolution to these games can have the chance to download this content and play it, while those who aren't that invested in it can opt not to buy it. Activision would not have to set expectations or have a sales plan for these digital-only DLC content, as they would not be released as main titles, and they could easily afford a failure with it.

What do you say? Shall we work to convince them to make this a reality?

It wouldn't work in WWII. It'd work on Ghosts and AW respectively, but not many people play those games anymore. Activision is better off with a new entry with "Ghosts 2" or "Advanced Warfare 2" if they want the story to be seen by millions. But as of right now, both sub-franchises are dead. Live with it. It's not happening.

The majority wanted Ghosts, but the problem with the game was the glitches and the imbalances. Advanced Warfare was tolerable because it was the first game to really use the thrust mechanics.

The problem isn't the mechanic, it's just that Activision put out THREE of the same game 3 years in a row. There needs to be variety in order for the sub-series to be successful. For example: One developer does Modern theme(s), one developer does World War theme(s), and one developer does futuristic theme(s).

So, in theory: Modern Warfare 4, Black Ops 4, and Advanced Warfare 2.
