Why does Activision spend so much time on hackers in Warzone, which is free, yet they do nothing to stop the hackers in Cold War multiplayer, that people have paid a good sum of money to play. The Block/Report functions are useless, you block a player and the next night there he is again, playing in your game.

Maybe Block/Report is just there so they can pretend to care about it but its way past time that companies like Activision started supporting their paying players.

I they allow hacking to the same level on the new game my clan will find something else to play.

70 Million accounts (Warzone) vs 20 Million copies sold (theretically) for a game like Cold War. Modern Warfare 2019 broke that milestone with 30 Million copies.

I'm sorry, but that's wrong. Activision posts their quarterly calls every quarter, the microtransactions amount for billions of revenue for them. Back when Infinite Warfare was released, the microtransactions from Black Ops 3 made up for the losses of Infinite Warfare's declining sales. Next year, they are releasing a free-to-play, stand-alone game to do exactly this for 2 years straight.

That DMZ mode in Modern Warfare II? That's the test bed for the new free-to-play game launching in 2023. There is NO premium Call of Duty title for 2023. The next one is 2024 or when Microsoft makes a decision.

No, because there is going to be a wide range of players across modes. Warzone 2.0 is a new slate, a new version, so we're not gonna see this 70 Million accounts like we did with Modern Warfare 2019.

To be fair, they said they're employing Ricochet with Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. Here is the blog post communicating this.

I see Modern Warfare II selling so well. Despite the hype, or the lack thereof. It's Modern Warfare, I don't see it failing sales-wise. I see it failing in a different way.

Interesting article. Do they already have SMS verification for xbox, PS etc? It looks like they are only focuscing on PC.

My only other point is about friendly fire. I don't deliberately aim at my teamates, time and time again they run in front of me when I'm shooting at the enemy, or run into my grenade 5 seconds after I've thrown it. It's really annoying to get a 10 second suspension because of other people's stupidity. You have to hope these people never go to war for real, it would be a blue on blue massacre

PS/Xbox doesn't need the SMS/phone verification. It will work similarly to what we have now with MW2019/Warzone.

Just don't play hardcore if that's what you're concerned about. Your bullets will ricochet through your teammates. It's hardcore you need to worry about. Hardcore modes kills your teammates - whether intentional, and accidentally.
