PC New to Ghosts...What am I doing wrong?

I haven't played COD since COD 3. I heard the hype for Advanced Warfare and it sounded like fun so I pre-ordered the game. I also bought Ghosts a week ago to practice before the new game comes out. I've been playing squads with AI to gain some skills before playing real players. I SUCK at it! I can't kill anyone even though I'm shooting right at them. I, however, seem to be an easy target. The kill cam shows the enemy killing me through objects, walls etc without me even being able to see them or it takes 2 bullets and I'm dead. I, however, can empty an entire magazine into one of them and he is still standing if he hasn't killed me first. I've tried to keep an eye on the mini map but I haven't found it really useful yet in spotting the enemy before he kills me. My computer has decent specs and I'm running high speed cable internet so I wouldn't expect there to be too much lag. I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong. Should I skip straight to multi-player and give up on the AI stuff? Will multi-player team me with players of my same skill level or will I drag good players down?

I played through single player already and did pretty well. Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated.

Ghosts has had all sorts of problems on PC. I'm not sure how much has been fixed or anything since the beginning, from what I heard it has the worst support for PC.

Have a look at the difficulty the bots are on? They are tuff enough even on regular! They are even smarter than all previous CODs. Because they are AI they can see you from a mile away, even smell you through walls haha.. so it is possible that they shoot you through walls. I dont know much about the PC version tbh but the online on PSN was hacked to bits within the first few weeks of release. I watched a YT video before on Ghosts, it could have been minnesotaburns who finds that the hackers have developed hacks for the game before it is even released to the public! He got the game early to review it!!

You should play Black Ops 2 if you want a closer to AW experience before AW comes out! Michael Condrey, a Dev at SHGames has said that the Time To Kill TTK will be closer to BO2 than it is to Ghosts in AW. Its a far better COD than Ghosts anyway! Funnily enough it seems to always have more online players at peak times on PSN.

So yeah I recommend playing Black Ops 2 instead! But if you want to play Ghosts best thing to do is just jump into lobbies and get the feel of the game! You will get annihilated many times over but its the best way to learn! Best of luck
