Title says it all. What are your favorite multiplayer maps from Black Ops and why?

For me, it's WMD, Summit, Firing Range, and Radiation.

A good player can work with a wide range of load outs to meet the challenge of many different encounters. A good player, I am not necessarily. :DI have often found myself getting stuck in certain routines on some maps where I can only really play effective by following a specific path with a specific weapon type. But these four maps really help me to open up. Something about their design clicked with me and I was able to use several different load outs successfully.

I also like how they are designed to wrap around themselves in most cases. There's little in the way of isolated spots, meaning you couldn't just hole up there and camp spam a bunch of kills. You had to earn the kill more so than some of the others. In Radiation, I especially liked the behavior the interactive door created around "b" in domination.

Nuketown. I loved that place, especially when playing against bots or against friends. The close quarters action and the huge firefight that can occur make it pretty unique. It is very similar to shipment on CoD4 which I also absolutely adored. I also loved the visual at the end of a Nuketown match; the mushroom cloud and the quality of the graphics made it even more awesome.

I used to do the same thing with the bots. Me and my friends would team up and fight against hordes of bots set on Veteran to try and better our own skills. I like how it's a typical, peaceful, 1960's suburb kind of setting with manikins set up all around. I always played best on this map when it came to actual ranked matches since I had played so many hours fighting bots there. My best killstreak was achieved here, I think it was around 13 or something like that.

Oh yeah. I loved the way that first rush to "b" in domination may just take up half the round and turn into a glorified grenade chucking match. It was a real struggle to get and hold that one, more so than any other "b" in the game.

I was never good at getting large kill streaks here. I got above average number of kills compared to my performance in othe rmaps, but I also usually got popped an above average amount of times. Although, I was that guy who would crouch in the doorway of "c" and pick you off across the map with a galil like it was a sniper rifle. Yeah...sorry about that.

Nuketown! It's tiny enough so the action never stops. Just throw a grenade from one side of the map and chances are you'll get a kill. It's intense, if you've got a huge group in there, you're lifespan is only a minute or so, it's chaos. I love it.

Firing Range, Summit and Nuketown. Hands down.

All the other maps were okay, but these were the most fun (fast paced, somewhat symmetrical and they played very fair).

I didn't like WMD and Grid that much because of the popularity to camp in the buildings. Nuketown people camped inside, as well as Summit, but there were so many ways to flank around in Summit, and Nuketown was small enough to where a C4, grenade or angle from midmap could easily take out any campers.

I forgot about summit. I liked to try and hide on the chairlift, but more often than not I'd just undershoot the thing and end up at the bottom of a mountain.

My favorite map is hands down WMD I really love the catwalk and that is probably my favorite spot in the entire game I think its a really good sniping map.

It's likely that everyone will say Nuketown, and yeah I can agree to a certain extent, as it allowed players both new and experienced a place where they could guarantee kills, due to the miniscule size.
Personally I found that Summit was a real great map, for Team Deathmatch and also Demolition matches, as it felt like it already supplied two bases for compatriots and your enemies.

For me my favourite multiplayer site is definitely Nuketown and I think you can have lots of fun playing on free for all mode, but its more enjoyable on team death match because there tends to be more people and therefore more action.

Array and Summit. I have a thing for snow, and they're both pretty diverse maps. You can employ many different loadouts and playstyles. A silenced SPAS is absolute slaughter on Summit, for instance, while on Array it's not as effective, but also pretty viable if you know what you're doing. Sniping is good for Array, but not so much on Summit, etc. etc.

Favorite Map was probably Hanoi. Any time I get to play on a night map, I get giddy and excited. It just makes me FEEL like I'm actually sneaking around killing people when using a silencer or the remote camera. Plus, the level design was pretty good, and it wasn't that easy to spawn trap people like some of the other maps.
