Warzone Armor Plates are a joke

Why does an entire armor plate get consumed for 10% armor? Who thought that was smart design? Why can't armor just spill over and fill up the next plate? The most annoying thing in Warzone has got to be this silly design choice. I hate getting one and a third of my armor chipped off and having to use an entire plate just to fill up 33% of a plate.

Uhhhhh, let's think about this logically. You're wearing a vest that holds 3 plates of armor, and carrying 6 more in a satchel on your back. You take a couple rounds to the chest (let's not even get into why chest plates protect your head) and it completely destroys 1 plate and damages the second. What you're suggesting is to replace both the destroyed plate AND the damaged one with one new plate. What kind of sense does that make.

I do like amor plates as an alternative to the typical "armor" you pick up in most games. But what you're suggesting is just illogical at best.

I would like to see them implement helmets for armor, and where you get shot determines which piece of armor is destroyed, get rid of the infinitely re-deployable parachute, and add some damage for jumping out of moving vehicles.

It makes sense from a quality of life gameplay perspective. This is a video game, not real life, and CoD certainly isn't all that realistic what with the infinite sprinting and being dragged into a gulag after being gunned down in the streets. Using an armor plate to give me back a fraction of a plate does not feel good.

As I mentioned in my first post, I'd like to see a little meandering back towards realism. This game is borderline FortNite already with the hyper-fast paced movement, sliding, jump-shotting. At least the gun mechanics steered towards realism.

I agree that it is a little annoying when you take half a plates worth of damage and you have to weigh of the risk/reward of replacing it. But as said before, your best takes three plates and as they are damaged you can choose to replace them with new ones, I dont think it should be changed.

On the subject of plates - it's always annoyed me that the gas effects your plates. It should pull down health but leave your plates intact.

The armor plates aren't new to Call of Duty. It's basically the new flak jacket. And, no, the 150 HP isn't too much. The plates themselves are 20% "more health" each time, not 150 HP. It's kinda like Doom, where you collect pieces of armor to fill up your armor to 200HP. So, in Doom games, you actually have 300HP, because the Armor isn't actually HP, it's just a protective gear that delays your death a little bit. (Both original and the new trilogy.)

300HP is assuming you filled up your HP to 200, and armor filled up to 200HP. But the armor isn't really that effective in Doom because of the meta. You are fighting against bigger enemies with at least 60HP for each shot. The cyberdemon for example kills you in one shot without the berserk health drop.

That design is there for these situations...

I've always thought how dumb that was too. I guess it could depend on what kind of gas it is - maybe it's possible there's a gas that corrodes metal and it's destroying your armor? But if that was the case, I'd expect more than coughing when you get stuck in it. If it can corrode and destroy metal, your gun should be destroyed as well and your skin would be adios. I'd expect screaming from those stuck in the gas, not just coughing. Coughing implies it's respiratory in nature and thus shouldn't affect armor.
