Warzone Warzone wont launch

Hi everyone,

since the update today, (23-4-21), if i press play in the battle.net launcher the button says "launching", then "playing now", and then it returns to "play" without launching the game. I have tried updating my graphics card drivers, placing the game on a different drive, reinstalling battle.net and reinstalling the entire game. nothing works so far, and my last resort would be to reinstall windows but for obvious reasons I really don't like to do that. Can anyone help me with this issue? I also submitted a support ticket with blizzard.

Same problem here. Game was working just fine last night, and after updating today it no longer launches (fails silently but logs a ntdll.dll 0xc00005 error to the event viewer)

It's definitely something fucky they did. Not surprising at this point.

exactly same problem here. tried everything regarding reinstall, update etc. have a pending ticket to blizzard support. my gaming friend updated same time with no problem running it. They need to fix this asap. seems like alot of people have same issue

SOLUTION:

I had Citrix workstation app innstalled on pc, uninnstalled it and then it worked. ill gues they fix the issue but until then uninnstalling is the only way too get it running

As far as I can tell, they've started working on a very rudimentary anti-cheat, which is currently broken, and random services/apps running on your PC can cause this anti-cheat to error out which stops WZ from launching.

So stopping literally all non Microsoft services/apps from running is the first thing to try.

I guarantee you this will do nothing to stop hackers, and just cause regular players endless grief. Raven, either develop an actual anti-cheat system, or just buy a known existing one that works well with the endless amount of money you have by now. Probably the latter, I don't trust you to make anything halfway decent.
