getting deranked when i go offline

i recently bought the game 2 days ago brand new,i go online multiplayer and everytime i go offline or back to the main menu i get put back to lvl1 any help is appreciated

You need to stay in the lobby for a few minutes before logging off, or turning off your game. The game needs to save your game info to the server, and then back to your console. Er. Platform.
