Is it me or why do we have to unlock the guns that you have already spent ages unlocking when u prestiged,what's the point .so every time you prestige you have to unlock your guns again don't see the point of playing the game anymore

Unlocking prestige

I am at the same point. I have put off the decision to reset for now until I talk to some people who have done it. What I do know is that from doing some Google searches there are some reasons why this is required and I will post up some more info when I have it that explains why.

Well I did it as my son done it and we started to play one game and started with a different load out and didn't understand why,then found out every time u prestiged it starts over again ,so all the perks weapons kill streaks all get wiped out and reset,what's the point of that

The complaining folks do after prestiging is hilarious. Its like did you not read the instructions?
Just keep playing you will gain all that back soon. Its taken me like 3 nights to get back to 42?
I know it will slow down and I wont be banging out levels, like the old screen door my ex was. But hey perm unlock a gun you love and run that till you can start working on the other guns you want to.

Your missing the point,you have already leveled your guns up,why do you have to unlock them again .all your doing is going round in circles doing the same thing again and again

And once you hit 55 you will have to start again to unlock your guns

@stucan Brother you are missing my point. Read all the instructions and penalties they give you and this is how prestige had always worked to the best of my recollection. Always. Yes its a suck thing but learn to deal and live with it. Or do not prestige. Its a part of the game and you can each time permanently unlock an item so you always have it and its not locked the next time you prestige.
One of my buddies I play with all the time noted in zombies that what you research gets locked up again so his plan was to play until all his research he truly wanted was done and then he would prestige after that so he does not have to worry about lock ups again with it. Smart thinking on his part but for me it does not matter that much. I got a handful of guns leveled up and they unlock quick perks and whatever will too. The only thing I want to unlock next would actually be a decoy grenade.
