Will Existenz be the future?

If anyone ever saw the movie from years ago, "Existenz". Starring Jude Law? And Jennifer Jason Leigh? Where a new video game allows people to play the game for real. And it plugs into their spinal column? Would you guys ever see that being the future of gaming? Where we can get ports surgically implanted into our spines or wherever? And then plug in a living game system and game from our minds?

Given that it is actually plugging into your spine, it will be A WHILE until that is even described as feasible, safe or possible.

Seems pretty cool though...I just hope it lets me respawn

Heh. It just seems like a lot of people want to get up close and personal with their games and consoles these days. And since we spend so much time gaming on consoles or PC's these days. I wonder if soon, we will want to get inside the game for real. By plugging it into our bodies and becoming one with the machine. I am sure some people would line up to be first to try! Not me, but some....folks.
