FPS Drop since the most recent update

My FPS has been dropping from 60 to 5 in the Main menu since the last update and has made the game unplayable and every time I would get into a game my FPS would jump from 100 to 30. Does anyone know what's going on? I'm just trying to play some CoD.

SPECS:
Nividia GeForce 1650 GTX
i5-9400 @ 2.90GHz Intel Core Processor
Asus prime h310m-k
8GB RAM

What sort of FPS were you getting prior to the update?

Check your settings, I have no idea why, but I have noticed that my graphics settings get changed in all sorts of random ways after a new texture pack has been installed.

I would be inclined to check settings first and look for YouTube videos on optimal settings for your GPU.

I'm surprised you are getting as much 100-120fps, I thought it would struggle to get past 60-80, so that's an impressive result.

yeah them are high fps for that card specially the only 8 gig it not running in duel channel. I'm guessing they all on low?

I found this video, it shows settings you can use and what the performance was like for a GTX 1650 back in October 2019 when the game launched, I hope you find it helpful.

Clearly you're not going to have RTX turned on as that's not supported by your card, but what you can do to bump your frame rates up by quite a bit more is drop your render resolution from 100% to 66%, there will be a small quality trade-off, but most of the time it is hard to see that.

Cheers, mate. Hopefully, it works.

Now I'm just getting DEV ERROR's. I think I'm better off upgrading my PC. What do you think?
I think you would enjoy a boost in performance with a GPU upgrade, but that said, I am surprised at how well the GTX 1650 was performing in that video above, the mobile version of the card is a long way below the desktop part, and the gap between the 1650 and 1660 is smaller than I thought it would be.

Another area that might help is boosting your RAM, you have 8GB, either get a matching set of RAM or just 2 a 16GB kit and replace you current RAM, but for gaming these days 16GB seems to be what most people are going for.

Do you know what power supply you are using at the moment, adding a new GPU might push the PSU beyond its limits, especially if it is an off-the-shelf model rather than 1 you built yourself.

What sort of budget are you working with?

thyes

Recruit
Has your FPS dropped lower constantly, or does it drop randomly?
I'm having a similar issue since I got my new GPU, an RTX 2070 Super. I run everything on max at around 90-100 FPS, but suddenly and completely random the FPS drops down, sometimes as low as 10.

I've made a thread about it here, but was just curious to see if you were having the same issue as me. The wierd thing is that I run other games perfectly.

Record yourself playing, then when you can watch that playback and look for error codes indicating server/connection issues on the left-hand side of the screen, what you're talking about sounds like a temporary network interruption, it might not be related to your new graphics card at all.

This is exactly what's happening to me.

My PSU is an InWin a55/550w. As for my budget. it's 0 until all this corona stuff settles down.
