checking for updates

hi guys dont normally post on forums but just sickened by the way ppl are treated by activision. is there anyone else who is still waiting for the "checking for updates " isssue to be resolved/fixed ?
im waiting for to long for it to be fixed and im getting to the point were and dont want to play anymore and demand my money back... dont know how that would go down with them. but i think theres a way to fix this problem... ive tried all the usual stuff deleting cache, updating drivers bios reinstalling moving game to new folder etc... anyone here have any ideas

Thanks, it works well for me both the computer and the game. LOL, would like to upgrade a few of the pieces though.

-What version of Windows?
-Have you tried some of the free trial driver download programs like Asus Armoury or IOBit driver updater? They can find some obscure things.
-What drive is it installed? (C, D or something) Try to keep the game in C: if possible.
-How much space have you got left on that drive? The update looks at how much space you have and if it thinks it does not have the space available then it wont update.
-Have you reinstalled and checked the DirX stuff? I can find the link if you like.


What are your specs in general? Oh, to answer your question, my game is running fine right now but tomorrow is always another day!!

game on D drive so im gonna try moving all to same drive. thx for that

I might suggest that if you are going to move it then I would delete the game from there and install clean again on the other drive. The reasoning is that the registry could be getting cluttered up with new and old lines of code that could potentially cause conflicts and grief.
