Is there a reason to buy the battle pass?

If you have not purchased the entire game of COD: Modern Warfare ll, is there any reason to purchase the battle pass? On the incorrect advice of a fellow player of other shooter games, I jumped jnto COD: MW2 and purchased bundles, thinking I could utilize these bundles as in the other free to play games, which is not the case. Is this the same with the battle pass rewards?

i played through the pass and got everything and i bought some bundles too that i didnt see in the pass. and i think if you go to but somthing it will tell you you already own it.

I purchased it for the things you get in the BP I think they are a way to get them and then they go into the bundles after. I am theorizing.. As I just got it in December and have not seen but the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2.
