Could you got into a bit more detail as to what is involved vis a vis a good gaming connection vs simply a fast internet connection??

My wife is pretty much exclusive with a DATA connection (1s and 0s) and Video Streaming..

My 'NET requirements are exclusively downloading videos and gaming...

As I mentioned above, I have not kept up with the technology so I am pretty much at that stage where FAST Internet = AWSOME Gaming, awesome fast downloads and flawless no-buffering video streaming..

But, as you have indicated above, it's a bit more involved than that..

Could you dumb it down for me?? :D

"OK, listen.. You dumb this down any more and I'm gonna punch you!"

Yea, I hear ya... We're gonna make sure we end our AT&T relationship gracefully w/o any outstanding bill or anything..

That way if Starlink craps out or goes tits up, we at least have a fallback service..

We'll probably have a month or 2 of overlapping service, just to make sure Starlink is going to be good for us..
If you are in a small town area, it's better to stick with AT&T, and ask for fiber. Thing is, I DO live in a small town like Alabama, and there ARE choices, but not very much. A youtuber in Alabama has Google Fiber, but most have either AT&T or Spectrum. AT&T sucks, but if I had a choice, I'd have to choose Spectrum or AT&T. Other cable companies are these lesser known, small companies.

Right now I have Spectrum, because AT&T pissed off family.

Yea, I am not just small town.. I am very rural... Our area has less than then 4,000 people...

We have only had AT&T DSL for about 10 years.. And that's all that's offer'ed beyond Satellite.. Which is about as useful as the old ISDN was.. :D

We're likely not going to see anything beyond low-end DSL for at least a few decades...
