Either kill this game off or for the love of god change the name from Call of Duty

i purchased bf6 and played beta and i love it and looking foward to this coming weekend. and it was real nice to play without seeing a bunch of cartoon characters running around.

i had high ques like 170000 but i only waited like 5 mins it goes quick

after this coming weekend ill be really depressed till oct 10th. ill stay busy with cs2

@Carlos could you split off the last number of posts and start a new thread with them please? I meant to start a new thread but this one took off before I got around to it. LOL.

I have pretty much walked away from this game. Basically it has been a piece of shit since release. Thankfully I have been busy in real life so that I have not had much time to spend/waste on this game. I was a diehard fan of this game and ran one of the biggest modding mapping websites back in the day. In particular, the past couple of releases have been showing the signs of doing anything for profit with the notable exception of giving us a real game. This BO6 release is not call of duty anymore except in name only.

I have not held my tongue here with my views on the skins and characters depicted in the game. I wont even comment on the totally fucking stupid weapons and the effects that they have. The game that I knew and loved is no more and hasnt been for a long time now. It only exists in my memory and those were some great years. Time moves on and so am I.

So either kill this game or preserve the memory by changing the name of this game to something else entirely. It is no longer what it was or will ever be again. Sad and sickened at how far this game has fallen.
The game is dead. Uninstalled it today. Playing it since 2005. They've completely fucked it up. That new update on warzone is terrible. All these ridiculous skins and dances. Guns with screens on them. Laser shooting at a lad from the walking dead..the movement is like playing xbox 360 halo. Then this new thing of not being able to play campaign without internet or being able to pause it. Wtf are they thinking. I've never been banned but fuck! The amount of people being banned from a game for harmless shit after paying 100 quid for it. Some for doing nothing wrong. Had to get that of my chest. The game is shockingly bad in comparison to all the others.

I may take a look at CS2 but I am under the impression that it is full of hackers too. I know, I know, virtually all games are full of hackers these days.
I am playing BO2 lately. At least you can find a server where ADMINS stays on top of cheaters and update cheat code.
I am a very firm believer , that when developers took our means of running private servers it was the end of what us Founding players was gone. The only logical reason for this move is MONEY. If they build the perfect game we would never spend money on another. That is the big fish in the sewage pit called Activision. This gives them every reason not to build a great game. And it also gives them the ability to kill previous titles (bad servers, hackers, eomm etc...) they can kill the fun. And they do.
That's my opinion of what happened to what us old timers call real gaming.

I gotta admit I started to not really like CoD after WaW. My clan and mapping crew had so much fun with making new maps, running fun servers and so on. My age is showing but still proud of my past!!

I think a thread with this content is going to get more and more popular. This last release was the straw that broke the camels back for many.
I know. I see it on YouTube, but I'm trying to avoid making threads like this because that's not what this board is trying to do. I want more Call of Duty fans here, provided they're nice...

I hear you there.
I really really want to like New CoD if only they didn't make it imposable. I am retired and CoD took a MAJOR part of my entertainment, Lost now.

Sad and sickened at how far this game has fallen. And while diving into other hobbies or tools like pc executor roblox might not replace the past, it can at least open the door to something new worth enjoying.
It’s tough watching a game you once loved slowly turn into something unrecognizable, especially after investing years of passion and creativity into the community. Many longtime fans feel the same like the series has shifted from genuine innovation to profit-driven releases, losing the soul that made it special. When the weapons, characters, and overall feel no longer resemble the game you remember, stepping away becomes the only option that protects the good memories. Sometimes moving on is healthier than holding onto something that no longer respects its own legacy.

Sad and sickened at how far this game has fallen. And yeah, while moving on, people explore new tools and mods too some even look back at things like the nix injector old version as part of that old school era vibe.
It’s completely understandable why you feel so disconnected from the game now it’s hard watching something you once loved drift so far from its roots. The shift toward flashy skins, gimmicks, and profit-driven decisions has taken away the soul that made the older titles special. Many longtime fans share that same frustration, feeling like the real Call of Duty exists only in memories now. Whether the franchise evolves or fades, your nostalgia for the golden years will always stand strong.

i see black ops 2 is selling for full price is it worth to go play that or is full of you know what. i didnt start playing cod till 2019 so i dont know much about prior versions although i did enjoy mw

I still have it in my rotation. Sure there is always going to be a cheater come through, but nothing like what these new editions have. I still have fun playing BO2

Very well put!! Thank you for that!
Also still play CoD 4

That pretty much sums up my games played. I do have a couple releases of FarCry
